Layout Ltd. Releases ArabicXT 6.0
Beirut, Lebanon - January 7th, 2004: Layout Ltd., a leading worldwide provider of desktop publishing solutions, is proud to announce the release of ArabicXT 6.0.
This latest offering from Layout fills the void in Arabic publishing, especially for those eagerly awaiting the follow-up version to ArabicXT 5.0.
"The Arabic publishing industry is now ready to explore its creative potential with ArabicXT 6.0 under the MAC OS X environment," said Mr. Joe Abi Raad, the assistant general manager of Layout Ltd.
Designed to be used in conjunction with QuarkXPress 6.0, the most widely used page Layout software, ArabicXT 6.0 gives the user a full range of key leading features, including the ability to convert Arabic print-based designs to Arabic Web-based designs or vice versa, all within one file.
The user can even include an Arabic Web layout and a print layout in the same file and share Arabic text content between the two files.
ArabicXT 6.0 also enables synchronized Arabic text among different layout spaces so that the user can include the same Arabic text in mulltiple layout spaces and synchronize it between different layout spaces.
In addition, ArabicXT 6.0 offers efficient table management so that the text cells can be linked to one another or to any text box in a mixed Latin-Arabic page layout. With ArabicXT 6.0, publishers can also enjoy a multiple Undo feature, which can reverse one action or a series of actions, as well as restore a series of actions including text and picture import, text linking, changing style sheets.
"We made it our highest priority to produce a software totally compatible with Macintosh OS X, so that those working in the Arabic language can have the ultimate publishing tool," explained Mr. Joe Abi Raad.
One of the greatest advantages of using ArabicXT 6.0 with QuarkXPress 6.0 is its simple and user-friendly interface. Anyone can learn to create superb Arabic page layouts and ensure professional Arabic publications in a very short time.
ArabicXT 6.0 is packed full with features, such as automatic horizontal and vertical positioning of vowels over characters; automatic kashida insertion; the ability to mix Arabic and Latin text and a bilingual "find and replace" feature. It can also flip page layout for bilingual publications.
Previous ArabicXT versions have been successfully adopted by reputable magazines, newspapers, advertising agencies, design firms, and book and catalog publishers worldwide. This latest Layout release opens an array of creative publishing possibilities for the novice as well, including students, freelancers, and home-based professionals.
