Layout Ltd., a leading provider of desktop publishing solutions, is proud to announce the release of its new copydot software: RepliDot v1.0 RepliDot 1.0 is a revolutionary Adobe® Photoshop® Plug-In® that converts traditional separation films into high-quality digital files for integration in today’s all-digital workflow, such as CTP or other similar workflows.
In the rising move to digital printing, RepliDot uniquely responds tostrong market needs for copydot solution within the most widely used photo retouching application: Adobe Photoshop.With its user-friendly interface, RepliDot allows you to automatically create correction tables that suit your own scanner from a calibration
target generated on your imagesetter.
RepliDot allows you also to create calibration tables from your existing separations.Through the use of advanced algorithms, RepliDot assures the ultimate image quality and delivers outstanding dot to dot digitization of film separations while preserving the quality of text. The reproduction of vignettes is carried out without artifacts or moiré patterns.
RepliDot’s digital descreening technique offers a unique way to convert pre-screened originals into an editable continuous tone (CT) image file to which editing and retouching can apply. Upon the completion of the reproduction process, RepliDot offers automatic registration of your four digital separation files to create a composite EPS file needed for integration into any page-layout software.
