Layout ME teams up with Hewlett Packard
The region’s sole distributor for QuarkXPress adds value to HP workstations
Dubai, October 2002: Layout Middle East has teamed up with Hewlett Packard (HP) to offer special prices on QuarkXPress for Windows products with every HP workstation sold.
"There are a large number of small to medium size publishers in the region who use Windows-based machines to do the same job as larger printing houses," pointed out Gigliola Graziani, category and marketing manager, HP. "We (HP) see a tremendous potential in this market segment. There is also a growing corporate SME (small and medium enterprises) segment that is incorporating some of its day-to-day publishing in-house (for its own internal documents), creating a demand for professional publishing products used on PCs in the office," she added.
With every HP workstation, Layout is offering a QuarkXpress Arabic Edition for Window at a special retail price of US$995.
"The normal retail price for these are US$1400 and usually out of reach for a lot of these small to medium publishers and SMEs," said Joe Karkour, area manager, Layout ME. "With an attractive price and bundled with a leading PC manufacturer like HP, we are making a leading professional publishing software more accessible," he continued.
The offer is value until 31 December 2002 and while stocks last.
